Thanks for your note, Rose! After I get everyone confirmed to participate, choosing the music is my favorite part of the debate. I think I’ve spent more time finding good songs by musicians from Indiana than I’ve spent putting a lot of my talks together over the years.

And of course, we can’t play M.I.A as your walk up music! Nice try. I’ve got something good for your debate topic.

Thank you for sharing! I am optimistic that this increase in sessions IS indicative of more collaborations. I intern at the Balboa Art Conservation Center, where they just completed a “Care of Paintings” workshop at the California Association of Museums annual meeting. In addition, the Rare Book and Manuscript Section hosted a panel discussion during a pre-conference for the ALA in 2012 that discussed preservation issues and how librarians develop curator and conservator relationships.
